Description

What this is

The 7″ x 9″ junk journal size gives you room to spread out, glue down full-page ephemera, and work bigger if that’s your thing. Designed to be filled, glued, taped, stamped, sketched, scribbled in, and stuffed full of whatever you can fit between the covers. There are no rules. That’s the whole point.

What’s inside

Each 7″ x 9″ journal is hand-assembled with about 100 sheets of mixed paper. The mix changes every time, so no two journals are alike — yours will be its own one-of-a-kind combination of colors and patterns.

The page mix includes:

  • 60 lb colored text-weight paper in our signature printed patterns — grid, lines, dot grid, swiss dot, honeycomb, and more
  • Crisp 80 lb white lined paper for journaling, lists, note-taking, and anything that needs a clean writing surface
  • A handful of cardstock pages for added texture and visual interest

Colored pages are printed on the front with a clean lined back, so every single page is usable.

Why size up?

The 7″ x 9″ size is the sweet spot if you want full-page real estate for your work. Tape down whole magazine clippings, work in bigger sketches, do double-page collages without feeling cramped. If you’ve ever wished your journal was just a little bigger, this is the one.

How it’s bound

Heavyweight chipboard front and back covers protect everything inside. The 1-inch black plastic coil is intentionally oversized — that extra room is where you’ll be cramming all the washi tape, ephemera, ticket stubs, photos, dried flowers, stickers, and other bits that turn a journal into a junk journal. Your journal grows with you.

Optional tab dividers

Want to organize your journal into sections? Add a set of six chipboard tab dividers when you check out. Each divider comes pre-punched and slit so it slides right onto the coil. Place them wherever you want, rearrange until it feels right, and once they’re set they hold securely in place.

A small note: the dividers are designed to be positioned and left there. Moving them on and off repeatedly will weaken the slits over time — but once they’re where you want them, they’re not going anywhere.

What you can do with it

Whatever the hell you want.

Art journal. Scrapbook. Smash book. Travel log. Recipe keeper. Prayer journal. Brain dump. Mood board on paper. Sketchbook. Memory book. Place to glue every fortune cookie slip you’ve ever saved. Junk journals exist outside the rules of “normal” stationery — they’re the place where you don’t have to be neat, organized, or precious about it.

A note about color

We photograph our products under professional lighting and try our best to represent the colors accurately. That said, every screen displays color a little differently, so what shows up on your device may shift slightly from what arrives in your hands. The colors in person are bright, saturated, and beautiful — they just may not match your screen exactly.
